King Kong Escapes is a decent offering from Toho and is definitely best served, as a back-2-back viewing with another classic monster movie while enjoying a nice warm breakfast (or big bowl of cereal if you prefer) and with the TV volume turned up a decent amount for good effect. Personally, the movie is a good watch, and runs even better if viewed as part of a monster movie-marathon.
